Objective
Develop ad concepts for a skincare brand that move beyond generic beauty messaging and connect with a more emotionally specific customer problem.
Approach
I built the pack around a core reframe, her skin is not bad, it is overwhelmed, then developed concepts that positioned the brand as restorative, calm, and credible rather than corrective or hype-driven.
Deliverables
- 3 core messaging angles
- Hooks and concept development
- UGC and brand-voice script directions
- Strategic rationale by angle
Project Overview
This speculative sample was created for Serein Skin, a barrier-repair skincare brand for women 30–45 with stressed, reactive, sensitive, inflamed, or easily irritated skin.
The strategy focused on a more grounded emotional truth than typical beauty messaging: she doesn’t want perfect skin, she wants skin she can trust again. That framing creates a calmer, more believable entry point for the product.
Core Angles
The pack includes three messaging concepts: Overwhelmed, Not Broken, Skin You Can’t Trust, and When More Skincare Makes It Worse. Each one speaks to a different layer of the audience’s frustration, from self-blame to unpredictability to overcorrection.
That gives the sample real category specificity while still showing transferable paid social strategy skills.
What This Sample Demonstrates
This piece broadens the portfolio beyond supplements while staying aligned with ecommerce and direct-response creative. It shows that the same strategic thinking can be adapted to a different buyer psychology, product category, and emotional landscape.
It adds range without making the portfolio feel random.
